“Heal the Soil” at the 6th Ward Garden Park on Saturday, June 6, 9 am – 2pm., 1235 Bozeman, east of HATS terminal, Helena. Coffee and treats at 9:00 am. Picnic barbecue at 2:00 pm. Led by Montana Conservation Corps for National Trails Day.
We will be apply soil amendments and sheetmulch to the edible meadow trimming some trails, continue trimming lilac bushes, weed the berm and park, and put the Ames Tools together. Plenty to do. Please bring shovel, pitchfork, wheelbarrow, heavy hammer, box cutters, pliers, screwdrivers, rake, loppers, pruning saws, and/or pole pruner. Dress for the weather and gardening.
-To catch the briefing on the work and the park, be there and signed in by 9:15.
-At 11:00, Helena Garden Club will celebrate their gift of Ames tools to the park and kick off National Gardening Week.
