Big Brothers Big Sisters seeks volunteer mentors (Bigs) to make a difference in the life of a child (Little). Being a Big is a rewarding and life-changing volunteer opportunity.
In our Community Program, Bigs meet with their Littles several times per month out in the community for a couple of hours. Matches can go hiking, meet for hot cocoa, bake cookies - the sky is the limit! For Littles 6 and older.
In our School-Based Program, Bigs provide Littles with one-to-one time and attention in local schools during the school day. Matches meet one time per week, typically during lunch/recess. This program is available to kids who are in K-8th grade.
Our School-Based + Program is a combination of the two programs above, with the opportunity to take Littles out for special occasions.
Volunteer enrollment consists of an orientation, application, interview, criminal record check, and reference checks.
