Description

Volunteer as a Government Operations Service Associate and play a key role in building and maintaining partnerships between the American Red Cross and government agencies.

 

In this role, you'll represent the Red Cross in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) and other coordination settings—both during disasters and in preparedness and recovery efforts. Government Operation volunteers help ensure Red Cross services align with government plans, share critical information, and support collaborative planning across the disaster cycle.

What You'll Do: 

  • Build relationships with emergency management and other government partners.
  • Represent the Red Cross in meetings, coordination centers, or virtually.
  • Share updates between Red Cross and government to support aligned response and recovery.
  • Contribute to planning efforts related to mass care and long-term recovery.
  • Help maintain situational awareness and respond to information or resource requests

 

Location: Virtual or In-Person (depending on local needs)

Commitment: A few hours per month, with increased need during active disaster events. Training is provided.
