Who We Are
Our vision is that all young parents and their children and families live safely in a just world in which they can visualize and achieve their unique potential as healthy contributing members of society.
Our mission is to provide innovative, comprehensive services and nurturing programs that empower young, pregnant women and parenting families to thrive and build productive lives.
What We Do
The Helena, Montana Florence Crittenton Home opened it's doors in 1900, has has served pregnant and parenting teens since that time. We are one of the only organizations in the United States that provides intensive therapeutic, residential treatment services to adolescent moms.
Many of the clients we serve have experienced multiple personal challenges including abuse and neglect, involvement in "the system," substance abuse, depression, truancy, and runaway tendencies. Our treatment model is a relationship based, trauma-informed approach with a particular emphasis on attachment and bonding, enabling healing to occur and creating healthy relationships. We believe the birth of a baby offers a unique opportunity for change and growth in the life of a teen mother and her extended family. By working with adolescents and their 0-3 year-old children, we are effectively treating two generations at the same time.
