Lake Helena Watershed Group

Everyone who lives within the Lake Helena Watershed is a member of the Lake Helena Watershed Group. The mission of the Lake Helena Watershed Group (LHWG) is to protect, enhance, and restore the water resources within the Lake Helena watershed by promoting and implementing conservation, as well as hosting volunteer and educational events throughout the watershed.

The Lake Helena Watershed Group helps implement streambank restoration projects and hosts a number of volunteer opportunities, and we also enjoy hosting fun, educational events such as Running Water for Helena and the Watershed Festival. We reach out to local stakeholders to inform on Best Management Practices, host frequent public meetings and engage community members with decision making regarding future restoration efforts and planning within our watershed.
