What We Do
The department mission is to protect lives, property and the environment through preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation planning and activities
Major hazards for Lewis & Clark County are flood, wildfire, hazardous materials, and earthquake. Wildfires are the most common emergencies, but floods have resulted in the most property damage.
