Who We Are

The Lewis and Clark Behavioral Health Local Advisory Council has been formalized since 2011. We operate as a community council to advocate for improvements in behavioral health which incompasses behavioral, mental health and illness, substance use disorder prevention, and crisis response. Participants include but are not limited to County Commissioners, HPD, Public Schools, Behavioral Health Direct Providers, Peers, Public Health, Consumers and Family Advocates. Participation is open to all to join the general meetings with option to apply for voting membership and Steering Committee Roles.

What We Do

LAC's purpose is to assist in the improvement of Lewis and Clark County Public Health Behavioral Health (Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorders) services and to review and make recommendations about behavioral health services to the Lewis and Clark County decision makers and community at large.
