Who We Are
Habitat for Humanity is a global, non-profit housing organization established on Christian principals and dedicated to eliminating substandard housing. Beginning in 1976 in Americus, Georgia, the organization was founded on the conviction that every man, woman, and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in adequate communities should be a matter of conscience action for all. Habitat for Humanity has helped build, renovate, and repair more than one million homes worldwide, and has provided affordable shelter to more than three million people. Working locally, Helena Area Habitat for Humanity is committed to helping families achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes; advocating for fair and just housing policies, and providing training and access to resources to help people improve their living conditions.
What We Do
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
