Opportunity From: United Way of the Lewis & Clark Area

Volunteer: Special Olympics Montana-Local Program Coordinator

Sport is a powerful force. It can shift the focus from disability to ability, from isolation to involvement. You can help change lives through sports.

Join us today by coming to a Local Program Coordinator (LPC) for a community-based team in Helena. We are looking to support a new service provider organization, Benchmark Human Services.

A Local Program Coordinator (LPC) is the "athletic director" of the sports programming for a specific team!
The LPC ensures that volunteers and athletes are prepared to participate in year-round local and state competitions and events. Depending on the size of the team, an LPC can manage a team alone or with the help of an Assistant LPC to provide general oversight for all team operations.

Primary Duties include:
-create and maintain a healthy team atmosphere
-recruit new athletes to participate
-recruit volunteers and coaches to help with your team
-remain organized with the necessary paperwork
-assist the team with local fundraising opportunities.

Training and support are readily available! To learn more, email, Nancy Undercofler, nundercofler@somt.org, for more information. Thank you!
