The 2024 Intrepid Credit Union Symphony Under the Stars will be held on Saturday July 20th on the campus of Carroll College. The theme this year is Music of Tina Turner !
We are still short on volunteers so we really need your help! Here’s what we have available:
Barricade Guard – sitting at an entrance to the college directing traffic; either allowing people in or directing them to another lot or a handicap lot. The Symphony provides chairs, a small cooler w/ice and a bottle of water. Bring a book as sometimes it is slow. Hours: 8-10 am and 12-2 pm.
Bucket Brigade – A volunteer favorite for many, this encompasses passing around an empty 5-gallon bucket w/a slot in the top to collect donations for future concerts. A Venmo code is also taped to the bucket if they want to donate using the QR code. Hours: 5:15 pm – 8:00 pm and again at intermission – about 9:30 pm. If you can’t do both shifts, that’s OK.
Clean up – once the concert is over, the clean-up crew walks the area to pick up lost and found items and bringing them to a designated location and carrying a plastic bag to pick up trash. People are pretty good at cleaning up after themselves. The Symphony has a group of people picking and stacking chairs so there’s no heavy lifting required for our group.
