Volunteer as a Government Operations Service Associate and play a key role in building and maintaining partnerships between the American Red Cross and government agencies.

 

In this role, you'll represent the Red Cross in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) and other coordination settings—both during disasters and in preparedness and recovery efforts. Government Operation volunteers help ensure Red Cross services align with government plans, share critical information, and support collaborative planning across the disaster cycle.

What You'll Do:

Time Commitment:

The Duty Officer position is broken up into 6-hour shifts where you would be on-call to answer the phone and would need access to a computer.  Ideally, we ask that volunteers be willing to take one shift per week for at least a six month commitment. Shift Hours: 12am-6am, 6am-12pm, 12pm-6pm, 6pm-12am. As a volunteer, you would have the ability to sign-up for the days and times that work best for you.
