Just for the Helena of It is a fall footrace event in Helena, MT put on by the Treasure State Runners, a local non-profit organization. We are four Montana women, and running partners, dedicated to supporting our community and sharing our love of running in the Treasure State.
We have been strongly supported by our local community and thrilled by the interest this race has received nationally. Over the past 4 years, Treasure State Runners has raised and donated over $110,000 to The Friendship Center and $10,000 to Girls Thrive. After reflecting on such successful years, and knowing we started with just an idea and a strong passion, we are excited to see what we can accomplish. We know we can count on support from returning runners, sponsors, and volunteers. We are excited to see Just for the Helena of It grow in size and scope.
The profits from Just for the Helena of It 2026 will be donated directly to the Friendship Center and Girls Thrive. The mission of The Friendship Center is to be a safe haven for those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The Friendship Center seeks to empower our community to flourish in relationships free from violence. Girls Thrive is on a mission to inspire girls to empower themselves through a variety of physical activities and educational lessons designed to promote self-confidence, self-esteem, and positive body image.
This year's half marathon, 10k, and 5k routes will highlight the beautiful town of Helena, MT and the surrounding area. 5k participants will be treated to a course full of our Montana big sky. The half marathon and 10k routes weave an out-and-back through Helena's most historic and scenic areas. Check out our website and course maps for more details. An after-race event will be held at the finish line. The fall weather in Montana can be unpredictable, so please come prepared to join the festivities in rain, shine, or snow!
