Our mission is to provide a strong foundation for Life-long Learning by nurturing, challenging, and guiding all students toward their maximum academic, aesthetic, physical, social, and emotional potential.

This team works together to ensure that all aspects of the student experience here at Helena High School is positive and effective, inside the classroom as well as outside the classroom.

Speech and Debate is both club and sport.  Though competition is optional, we will travel to 8 Montana tournaments throughout the year with the possibility of attending the National Tournament for students that qualify.  Members exercise public speaking, acting, and writing skills head to head against other students in an atmosphere that encourages building lifelong friendships with their teammates and opponents.  Also called “forensics,” it’s an activity for anyone who feels unchallenged by normal academics or wishes to understand current issues through a different lens.  Explore our wide variety of events, and we guarantee you’ll find something to love.
